Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day

Crossfire series
A quick summary on the series:

Gideon Cross a.k.a Ace, and Eva Trammel a.k.a Angel

I discovered the Crossfire by Sylvia Day after having withdraws from Mr. Grey, needless to say, I quite possibly like this series as much as Fifty. Gideon Cross is as much swoon worthy, romantic, and sweet-heart as Christian Grey.

There are some similarities between both novels, but it’s not a rip off from James highly successful trilogy. Both characters in the Crossfire are wounded, and abused survivors who must learn to cope with their demons in order to make their complicated relationship work. This series made me laugh, cry, scream, hate the heroine, but it truly captivated me and I became heavily invested in the characters. I waited more than a year for the fourth installment.

Young Gideon
While many fans of the series refused to continue reading after the third installment, because it was originally a trilogy, I felt it was necessary that the novels be extended to be a 5 part series. The issues both characters must overcome are monumental, as are the ramifications of being with someone who resurfaces old demons. While Eva has tried to recuperate from the trauma of her childhood, Gideon has avoided it altogether—until Eva comes crashing into his life.  Eva and Gideon love each other profoundly but the series explores the possibility that: “love does not conquer all," and before they can truly be a couple they must both learn how to trust each other, and open up to each other more. Gideon is a tormented man that would do anything for Eva, combat her demons even if those demons become his own.

Falling Away , Penelope Douglas A MUST READ

Jax and Juliet

New Zealand

This is part of one of my favorite series, the author just keeps getting better and better. I waited for months for this book, that's how captivating the series is. I absolutely loved this book, its a must read.

K.C was a character who was misunderstood in the other novels, but you finally get to hear her story, and the chick is pretty kickass.

Jax, well Jax....Jax is a badass, no words can really describe him, so when he and K.C come together you know its going to be one incredible read. So cheers to Mrs. Douglas, she did it again!

As a 21 year old, recent graduate that has no idea what to do with her life, I felt as if the novel was often speaking directly to me. Especially about entering adulthood: responsibility, choices, how thought out plans don't often come through, changing your mind about what you want to do with the rest of your life, accepting yourself for who you want to be not how others want you to be. I interpreted the novel as more than a contemporary romance novel-- as a coming-of-age story.

Nash, Jay Crownover

Where should I start? Oh, yes. The cover. I give a million praises to whoever chose that cover. After having read the Marked Men series last year, I was super excited during winter break to get my hands on Rome and I absolutely loved it, and couldn't wait to read Nash.
Nash is a sweetheart. I couldn't help but love him since he was first introduced in Rule. And the other two books just made me love him even more. What I liked about this novel was not necessarily the love story, but the fundamental idea I think the novel gives: To love thyself, to be able to love others.
We also got to see the others carry on with their lives. But what I most absolutely loved was the relationship between Nash and his father. ( I was on my way to school in the train when I read the part of his dad dying, ALWAYS WITH YOU--still breaks my heart.) The novel is more than just a love story between two people but a plethora of familial love and relationships.

Beautiful Redemption

   The Beautiful Series, Jamie McGuire
Beautiful Oblivion was Trent Maddox story.
Beautiful Redemption is Thomas Maddox's the older (secretly FBI agent) brothers story.  After hating the love triangle in the former, the latter took me by surprise. Wow just wow! I was so excited for this book, since I didn't really like Beautiful Oblivion, but this was an AMAZING read!!! Loved all the characters, but the leads were truly outstanding; their chemistry is palpable and they are perfect for each other. Forget about opposites attracting and all, Thomas and Liis complement each other. After Beautiful Disaster this is now my favorite from McGuire. Thomas Trent is truly swoon worthy and might, just might, surpass his brother when it comes to being a sweetheart. All the Maddox brothers have enough badass in them with the right proportion of gentlemen. If you haven't read the series I highly recommend it. Five stars +++

Lovely Trigger-R. K. Lillely

I absolutely loved it, sad to say Danika and Tristan's story came to an end--but I'm happy with their ending.

BULLY---Penelope Douglas

A Great Summer Read:

A friend recommended this book after I was suffering from a book hangover. Needless to say--this novel also gave me a book-hangover. I became so invested in the characters. Tate is a warrior--one badass chick! She did not let bullying dominate her life, nor she resented her foes. Initially I was hesitant on liking Jared, he was the epitome of a Bully to Tate. I don't usually read to critique the novels, I just read for the romance, and the characters redemptions (which I think this novel did a great job of portraying). Do I recommend this novel? Absolutely and definitely. Now I want a tattoo that says: “Yesterday lasts forever.Tomorrow comes never.Until you”.
